Club Captains update

Members I hope that you are all well and safe.

Whilst we have not been playing golf several of our members and volunteers took the opportunity to undertake some work on the course. This has been completed by a small number of members and volunteers who were working whilst where possible maintaining social distancing.

The main objective has always been to improve the playing and visiting experience for you as members and for visitors to our club.

As a group we have Begged and Borrowed materials and equipment to carry out essential drainage and improvement works on the course under the direction of the Greens Committee for all our benefit. The works include: -

The creation of 3 superb ponds on the course, one on the 3rd hole, one on the 10th and an amazing double pond on the 12th.
An amazing extension to the 14th tee.
A new brick-built BBQ with seating area near to the Halfway House.

As we begin to consider the return to golf and as we are adding the finishing touches such as water features for the ponds or water lilies and plants for the ponds I am asking if anyone would like the opportunity to contribute towards these features.
I and the other volunteers cannot wait for you to see and share the improvements made to our course.

Any contribution would be most welcome so everyone who wants to can feel they have played a part in their own ways towards the improvements.

Contributions can be made directly to me as Captain through a bank transfer and all of the money will be invested back into our course and facilities. Please contact the Honorary Secretary at  for further details.

Thank you and I hope to see you soon as importantly I sincerely hope you enjoy the improvements made to our course.

Your Club Captain 2020
Martyn Gulliver
