Phoenix Golf Club Junior Section
Here at Phoenix we run two sections within the Juniors, they are the 'Pre Junior' section that has an age range from 5 to 10, and a 'Junior' section 11 to 18.
We believe that Junior golf must aim initially to make the game fun and exciting, aiming to encourage all levels of capability to take part, and to be enthused about the friendships and rewards that the game can offer, at whatever level is is eventually played.
We have a very strong Junior set up with a total commitment, a great course that junior talents can be built on, and with those facilities to match the forward thinking of our professionals, and supportive older members, we can see that at Phoenix we have a great future in the making, that we will by our endeavours in support of Junior golf, continue to build on.
The support of all at the club who have junior golf at heart, have been duly rewarded over the last few years with the number of the Juniors who have progressed and are now part of the successful Scratch team who won the SUGC Division 1 Championship in 2014 and 2015 as well as several other SUGC Team and Individual competitions. Several of our juniors through their dedication have their efforts rewarded by winning SUGC Juniors events and being selected to play in District and County level Teams.
